How to tie a Perdigon Fly | Peacock Variant

Perdigons were invented by the Spanish competition fly-fishing team but made popular by the French. These flies are effective to catch trout in fast water and ideal for Euro nymphing. Their weight and smooth profile helping the flies get down fast. This simple peacock variant of this effective fly was made by The Fly Fiend. Thread: Veevus 8/0 black

Body: Super Sparkle Thread – Green

Tail: Mottled hackle fibers or Coq de Leon

Hotspot: Veevus Powerthread in Hot Orange 104d
